I've always planned to get an MBA, but I wanted to get a decent amount of work experience in first.
More recently, I've thought about starting next year (2011). However, after paying for Vik's undergrad tuition out of pocket, and realizing how much it sucks, I just can't stomach paying for any more schooling.
So, all that said, I would love to pay for MBA tuition entirely out of my company's tuition reimbursement program. That gives me a max of $5,000 per year. I just discovered that, based on current rates and ever rising tuition costs, I would be lucky to finish in 10 YEARS. WTF? Aside from paying out of pocket, I just don't know how this will ever work.

Re: Wow - MBA Programs
Graduate school can be expensive, but it can also be a great investment. Maybe you can save up some money for the next year to help pay tuition (on top of the company reimbursement) and then take out a small education loan for what's left. That way you kind of get the best of both worlds. If you plan on working while getting your MBA you could also try to sock away some money for the following semester(s).
It is overwhelming to think of the costs of schooling though. I've been thinking about going to law school, but the cheapest school near me is like $20,000 a year. Kill me!
Welcome to DC where everything is way expensive and over priced
I thought about doing grad school, but it is so expensive and we just took out a loan to get Steve his BA. I've been thinking about using my tuition reimbursement from work, but then I have to keep a certain grade and stay here for a least a year after I finish which I'm not sure I want to do anyway.
There's no better investment than the investment in one's self.
$5k a year is actually pretty good as far as tuition reimbursement goes.
Unfortunately I'm taking out loans to pay for some of my grad school now. I believe I'll be able to afford to pay it back eventually. I believe its worth it to change my career and be happier.
