Care package update - questions

I mentioned my friend's mother has cancer and is deteriorating quickly - my friend e-mailed me today that she got more bad news on her mother's health today but is too upset to discuss it.

I definitely want to get a care pacakge to her ASAP - how would something like this be?

http://www.amazon.com/Herbal-Concepts-HCHRTL-Heart-Lavender/dp/B000Q37DR4/ref=sr_1_95?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1268703940&sr=1-95

Or a regular heat wrap (lavender, but doesn't have to be the heart?)

And I was going to maybe get her a gift card for coffee.. she loves coffee and she is burning the candle at both ends between a stressful job and going to the hospital.

Any other thoughts/recommendations would be great, thanks!

Re: Care package update - questions

  • Maybe a Sudoku puzzle book or a word search book.  For something to do while she is visiting in the hospital.  Daytime tv can get old if that is all you have to occupy your mind.  I think the coffee gift card is a good idea.  Make sure it's a place close by to her home or the hospital.  You could also do a small bouquet of flowers to brighten the room.  Nothing huge or pricey.  Just some small springy looking bouquet.
