I was reading Pam's post about how long it had been since she quit smoking. Carrie is a recent quiter too. It got me thinking about everyone else.

Are you a smoker? For how long? I am no longer an everyday smoker. I smoke very seldomly when I drink a lot. I never buy packs though. I just bum one off someone.
When did you start? I was 13
If you quit, how long have you been smoke free? I quit 5 years ago when I got together with Chris
Why did/will you quit? My son told me I stunk and Chris didnt like it.
How much do/did you smoke per day? maybe half a pack a day
Does/did your spouse smoke? Chris smokes very seldomly as I do. Only when drinking
Do/did you smoke in the house? I did not smoke in the house and only in my car when Chase wasnt with me.
Are/were your parents smokers? My mom never smoked, but my dad did and hid it from us until about 2 years before he died.
What brand do/did you smoke? Started with Newports, then on to Marlboro Menthol then Marlboro Menthol Lights. Now if I do smoke its Camel Lights
Have you tried to quit before? It used the patch and was smoke free in 3 days. Like I said before, I will still smoke once in a great while when I am out with friends heavily drinking, but I can walk away from them after that and not look back. So Im not really sure why I still do it. Maybe drunken impulse.

Its really to hard to stop smoking when your DH smokes. I can say I'm social smoker more then a real smoker. Cancer runs in the family I'm really going to quit this time. I'm working on it right now!

Why did/will you quit? Aside from TTC, my friend and i had said we'd quit by 26... i quit 2 weeks shy of my 27th bday

How much do/did you smoke per day? It varies from 1-2 cig/day to half a pack. Depends on what I'm doing. I never really feel that I "need" to go smoke, it's more of a boredom thing. If I was busy/distracted, there were days I didn't smoke. I started up again shortly after losing my job in July.
Does/did your spouse smoke? He's the same as me now, on and off, but he was a serious smoker from early teens (thanks to his boyscout troop) and quit completely just before we started dating.

What brand do/did you smoke? When I was younger, Camel Lights, now it's Camel No. 9 Menthols, or Marlboro Menthols
Have you tried to quit before? Yes. In the time I have been on and off, there's been a full year or more I didn't smoke at all (a couple diff times). I suppose I should stop again now.
