Easter

Hi ladies!  I just found out DH and I are hosting Easter this year (it's our first time hosting a holiday!!) and I am really excited.  I am trying to work on a menu though and was wondering what you usually make/have for dessert for Easter?  TIA!

Re: Easter

  • If you're looking for something REALLY easy and delicious, my favorite thing is angel lush.  It's angel food cake (which you can either make from scratch, make from a box, or buy already made at the store) then you mix crushed pineapple (with juice), vanilla pudding mix, and cool whip all together and layer it in the angel food cake and garnish with berries. It also makes a great trifle too.  (you can google for recipe/directions/pictures)
  • We usually have pineapple squares, nutroll and prune roll. We buy the rolls from a bakery.
  • I love carrot cake for Easter dessert!

  • I make this bunny cake in different colors each year.  We usually make a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.  I didn't love how last year's came out compared to other years, but it's the only one I have a pic of.  Please excuse the Christmas vinyl tablecloth, but it protected the table from egg dye-lol.
