4.4 Earthquake this morning...

Soooo it shook me up at 4am this morning and I screamed my head off, and the first thing I do...I run over to the living room to make sure everything looks okay, especially our big screen tv. I had make sure for Eric that our beloved tv was safe!

It feels like a rocking and you hear this rumble and it sounded like a roar, and then it stops. Earthquakes always shake things up!!

Re: 4.4 Earthquake this morning...

  • This is the reason I think earthquakes are the worst possible natural disaster.  You have NO idea they're coming.  How scary!  Glad you're okay.

PS - I lol'd at the thought of you running to check on your TV!

  • Eek!  I've never actually been through one knowingly.  When we were in Israel, apparently they had some sort of tremor, but I had no idea it happened until after the fact.

Daniel, on the other hand, has experience the outer edge of a 6.0 earthquake when he was in Japan.  He said he woke up, felt the shaking, rolled over and went back to sleep.Indifferent  I would've freaked the eff out.

  • OMG how scary.

I would have done the same thing though, checked on the TVs just to make sure they were safe.

Glad you (and the tvs) are ok!

  • Scary! Glad you are okay!

The one time I visited Cali there was an earthquake. It was in the middle of the night and Brock woke me up. I told him to be quiet and go back to sleep. LOL

  • I'm so glad that you and the big screen are ok!

We got a small earthquake her in AL when I was in college.  I started bouncing in my bed a little, but I honestly thought it was because of my neighbors loud sexy-time.  (I lived in an old rickety apartment, and our bedrooms shared a wall.)

I didn't find out it was an earthquake until the next day.  I got a good laugh at myself.

  • I was going to text you this morning to see how you are doing.  I am glad everything is ok.  I always think it sound like  a train is about to come through the house.
  • I was sleeping so peacefully, ever since this time change - I've been having the hardest time going to bed. I read a book and had walrus time last night, but nope I was up late!

This time it sounded like lion roaring at me...

Oh Lindsay, you're neighbors sound naughty!!!!!!!
