Re: AW: Jake Pics of the Day :)
I love daily Jake pics!!
Now, let's see a picture of you! Don't be shy, give us a full body shot so we can see what you look like 2 weeks post-baby.

I took a pic at one week post partum (last wednesday)... here it is... comparing it with my last belly shot at 38 weeks, six days before Jake arrived!
I'll take another pic on Wednesday that'll be my two week post partum body. I can tell you I still have about ten lbs to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. But I feel like my body looks actually better than it did before (minus the fact that I need to tighten up my belly again, the muscles obviously get stretched out... and the veiny big boobs lol)... I got some small hips out of being pregnant though, which totally makes me happy. I just hope they stick around!! lol

I only gained 28 lbs... so it helps. Especially because you lose a lot just by delivering. I thought that I'd be a lot like my mom... because everything you read says "if your mom got so and so while pregnant, chances are you will too", who looked 100% different after she had kids... bad stretch marks and a poochy belly from having to have c-sections. I definitely didn't get that, and I didn't have to have a c-sec. *knock on wood for baby #2*!! lol

First, thanks for posting the cute pictures
Second, I've always wondered about the above quote as well...did you experience similar pregnancy experiences to your mom? Like, did you get the same type of morning sickness or anything? I've always wondered how accurate this is.
He's so alert already! Just beautiful, I love his skin tone!
And how the hell are you only 10 lbs away from pre-pg weight? I have no idea how some people can do that. It took me like a year to get back to normal!!! (well, I have no idea really since I got pregnant again when G was 7 months old, but I was still like 20 pounds overweight then) But that is awesome for you, Congrats!!!
You have the cutest little boy. He is so alert already!
And you look amazing too! I can't believe you are only 10 lbs away from your pre-pg weight.

Awww - I love the daily pics -- he's so cute.
And good lord woman... only 10 pounds - that's fantastic. I have a feeling I will not be so lucky. Did you work out at all while you were prego to keep from gaining more weight than necessary?

My 101
Actually I was really terrible with working out while PG. I did a few floor exercises occasionally, and yoga a couple of times... but that's really it... and it was never enough to call it exercising.
It's just everything in moderation. It's never an excuse to eat everything in sight, you know what I mean? My diet actually stayed exactly the same as it was before I was pregnant, I just ate more snacks throughout the day and I tried to make sure they were healthy ones. Once the holidays rolled around though, my sweet tooth kicked in big time, and never really went away. lol I just tried to limit myself to one treat per day.

Love these! Jake is so precious, I swear it almost makes me cry. (blame the hormones)
How are you feeling these days? Any advice for navigating the first week postpartum?
