  As a mother of two kids, one of whom is developmentally delayed (not autistic, however), I get very angry when she talks about "healing" her son's autism.  Autism is a very serious, lifelong condition and she gives parents false hope.  Her son's symptoms may be much less, but he is still, and will always be, autistic.

  I agree with you 100% on this.  Even more idiotic, though, is the info-tainment industry lending any credence whatsoever to her theories.  I can't handle her.  She pisses me off to no end.

  Yeah, this is bullshitt.  I work at a well known children's institute for the developmentally disabled. We have our own autism center, we research it, I evaluate a lot of autistic children. You can't reverse autism. You can treat it with interventions to mitigate some problems, but you can't make it go away, at least not currently.
