Interior Painting - how much does this cost???
Hi Ladies -
I've always just painted my own rooms, but now we're looking at buying a house that DESPERATELY needs to have all the rooms painted. This is just more than I can handle on my own.
Do you have any painters that you would recommend?
And, about how much does interior painting cost? Ballpark is fine. I just have no idea what to expect.

Our house is around 2700 sq ft. and I will be getting the entire downstairs plus one room upstairs painted for around $2500. We have HIGH vaulted ceilings, though, that will require scaffolding to paint so I am sure that factored into the price.
Southern Painting gave me a good quote and were professional.
Oh, their prices include Sherwin Williams paint (or another good quality paint that I can't think of right now) and a 2 year warranty. They do free estimates. If you tell them the name of someone who referred you, you will get 20% off. They also give discounts for putting a sign in your yard.
I was quoted $3000+ for doors and all trim... no walls or ceilings at all!

I was quoted $1800 for doors and trim (1700sqft) from the place we used. We haven't gotten it done yet, but might in the future.
It might be more expensive for doors and trim because it's more tedious. I'm pretty sure when they paint a room, they use a sprayer so it doesn't take long or a lot of taping.
I would definitely give Southern Painting a call. You can negotiate with them also. We talked them down $100 from what they originally quoted us.
