Update on the pups..
Thanks for the vibes and thoughts ladies. FI was able to bring them both home last night.
It's really a crappy situation. Long story short, FI overdosed them on their heartworm medication. I won't go into all the hows and whys but he read the sheet wrong and gave them more than what they were supposed to get. That was yesterday morning and when he got home our two dogs were both disoriented and confused and what not. He rushed them to our vet, who was really great, but hadn't dealt with something like this, so he had to call poision control and figure it out. It was on the low side of an overdose, but both dogs are currently blind because of it. The blindness could last from 4 days to 4 weeks, we don't really know.
I am a little peeved at FI but i'm trying not to be as he is really beating himself up over this. Needless to say it really sucks that i'm in FL and not at home. But I will be heading home tonight as planned, so I'll get to see them for myself.

Oh NO, CRIS!!! That totally sucks for ALL of you... your poor FI is probably so upset over it. I read your post from my phone last night, but couldn't respond and sent some quiet vibes anyway...
Jeeze - I hope they get back to normal soon - that's so sad...
And PS - I had to call poison control from my house for my old dog who got into my toothpaste stash (I bought like 5 of them because they were on sale) and ate 4 tubes!!!! I mean, toothpaste, caps, and most of the tubes too... Poison control cost me $70/ 5 mins of advice! And all they friggin' told me was to give her milk!!!! The whole phone call wound up costing me $150 for that little piece of advice.
Moral of the story - lucky for you, your vet called.
Cristina!! You're still incubating huh?!?! I've been trying to check everyday from my blackberry to see if the little princess has made an appearance. Hope you arn't toooo uncomfy and hang in there.
THanks for the thoughts ladies, and yes, i hope things calm down and return to normal asap. I HATE drama in my life and this is way to much for me.

This exactly! I'm glad they figured out what was wrong, and at least you know they will be ok. ((hugs)) Sorry the end of your vacation kinda sucked... just think of how much better things will be once your an old married and moved!
