start a business, what would it be?
I'm trying to think of fun ideas for an Entrepreneurship class I'm taking this summer. But I also think it would be fun to see how everyone answers.
Re: If You Had To....
Oh me! I have a ton....
1. I would open up a baby boutique of sorts that would include maternity clothes, baby clothes, and baby gear.
2. I would like to open up a place like Charlotte's where I sold big name brands. However, also feature items that local people have made.
3. A monogramming store. I love monogrammed items, from clothes, pillows, totes, stationary, etc.
i'd have some sort of a retail store - possibly online store. selling invitations, stationery and gifts. i've always wanted to do this, but for now i just do crafty projects for friends & family to fuel the creative side.
i took an entrepreneurship class a few years ago at our community college. it was pretty interesting,b ut i never took it to the next level.
My business would probably be green related--stock items that are made from repurposed materials or organic materials, but try to make it more of a "common sense" kind of store. Stock things that are common to most homes that people wouldn't even think were "repurposed" like the Preserve products (Razors and mixing bowls made of repurposed Stoneyfield Farms yogurt cups). But present these items in a fun way, not so granola where the average person wouldn't want to go in there.
I would also do a dog rehab center--not that I know anything about rehab, but DH does and I like dogs. There are SO many dogs around here, I imagine you could make a bundle doing it. A lady I used to race bikes with did this for a few years, sold her business and never had to worry about money.
I would do a home repair/remodeling/design company with DH... he can pretty much fix and/or make anything and I love helping him with the "dirty" stuff. I'm like Mike Rowe! lol
I would also love to open a "studio" that taught yoga, bellydance, tai-chi and other wellness classes.
