My mom's side is Irish.
My dad's is Scottish (we have a tartan!)
My Great Grandmother was 1st generation. My mom had ALOT more information than that (she did the geneology on her mother's side of the family a few years ago-went to Dublin and Shannon (sp) and a few other places to do "local research" all in all it was pretty cool to read all the information she was able to find.
My family is really mixed, but I am a small part Irish. I'm mostly English, Russian, and German though.
Dh is not Irish at all. He's 75% Italian and 25% Slovak.
