straight girls kissing for attention
I thought I'd post this because I believe it was a Unity Horse (TM) issue... that straight girls who make out at bars are lame and an insult to actual gay people. This clip from the Tyra show is awesome. The guys are both assclowns, but Tyra OWNS the girls at the end and makes a good point. I never thought I'd agree with her, but mad props.

Not necessarily, because usually the point of making out is for sexual pleasure and the like. These girls and so many like them derive no such pleasure from making out with their straight friends, and they're not doing it for themselves--they're doing it for the benefit of others.
The one time I made out at a bar with an ex of mine (during my wild days and no I wouldn't do it again) it was because we were hot for one another, had just started dating and were really drunk.
Right, I understand the?drunkenness?part of the equation. ?Been there, done that. ?Generally though, if you're doing it very openly in a public place, at least part of you has to be seeking some attention.

I don't know. I think it's more people just not caring what others think and doing what they want whether it's appropriate for being in public or not. I don't think that they necessarily want attention, I think they just don't care. They're doing what they'd do at home, only in public.
On the other hand, straight girls who make out with each other would never do it in private - the whole point is to be in public.
It is sad. I think it's along the same lines of the Girls Gone Wild phenomenon. Girls have figured out that this is a surefire way to get attention from guys - take off your shirt, act like a lesbian. They're so insecure and desperate for attention, they're willing to get it however they can.
What they don't understand or realize is that guys can't HELP but look at naked boobs or two girls making out. It doesn't mean that they're attractive or special or anything - it just means that the guys will stare until the next pair of boobs or fake lesbians comes along.
