Dumb FDIC question
OK - here it is.
Banks pay premiums for their FDIC Insurance so we all will have our money insured (to the new limits now).
So what happens if a bank does not pay it's premium? Are depositors of that bank not insured?
If I do not pay my home insurance, they wiill not pay, if I do not pay my car insurance, they will not pay. So - if a bank does not pay it's FDIC - will the gov't still pay?
