I know a lot of this was talked about yesterday, but I never get my hopes up until I see it in red and blue on this map. :-)

Re: Landslide anyone?!
I think the election will be closer than people expect, particularly given the widespread Dubya hatred. But I do think that Obama will win, barring some massive, economic-crash-style problem that pops up this month that favors McCain. All the evangelicals who support McCain ought to be praying hard for another terrorist attack on U.S. soil.
A landslide is predicted every election. I wouldn't put any stock in polls taken this early. As we've seen last month they can change dramatically depending on the week.
That said, based on the conventional wisdom Obama should easily win in a landslide. But I don't think he will.
my read shelf:
Oh dear God, no...I knw you said this hopefully in jest, but if I find out any morAn out there is actually praying or hoping for some crap like this, I will PERSONALLY go out and kick some arse. I've been working out with my trainer again...I can do it.
In regards to the polls and the electoral map, I just can't get excited. Last night we heard one map had him with 350-something electoral votes while we were watching tv and I actually just got a sense of dread in my stomach.
I won't be comfortable until well after Nov. 5...as I'm sure there will still be recounts and insanity no matter who wins...
Ugh, IIOY...that's awful. As someone who's had to sit through insane diatribes from family myself, I understand...
But I still find the sentiment disgusting. But I do believe it and I'm afraid the comments you've heard aren't the only ones.
I better get my PT to help me with my boxing and punching this weekend when I go see her
