Tell me what to do poll

Okay, help me out with my tv satellite. Currently we have two premium channels (Showtime and Starz) that were free for the first 3 months, and now we're paying for them. My options are to keep what we have, cancel them both and get HBO (which will save a few dollars a month) or cancel them and not get anything new. DH is no help. I'll do whatever the majority decides

I watched TrueBlood season 1 on DVD, but haven't seen season 2 because we don't have HBO. Plus they're going to or are running a mini series called Pacific by the Band of Brothers people that I would love to watch. We don't watch any series on Starz or Showtime.

Based on your answers, I vote for HBO. However, I dont subscribe to any of them. We dont even have enough time to catch up on the DVR of shows on regular cable. DH watches more sporting events than anything else and I figure its cheaper to rent a few movies a month from Redbox than to subscribe to HBO.

We also have Netflix, and hardly ever utilize it because we're so behind on our DVR.

I voted for HBO just because it sounds like you would watch that more than the others. We have Showtime and HBO on a 6 month free deal and I doubt we'll pay for it afterwards. We don't have DVR and I hardly watch any movies or the series on the extra channels so I would rather just have DVR.

I voted just get rid of them all. If you have netflix you can watch a ton of stuff on there online. We hooked up our computer to the tv so we are watching Tudors Series right now.

I voted HBO too. There are a ton of great series on there, and if you already have Netflix then you don't really need Starz or Showtime. Have you set up your Netflix "On Demand"?

We have a disc to use our PS3 to watch the Watch Now Netflix movies/shows. We don't have a ton on our watch now queue but we can always look for me. I feel like we definitely need to use Netflix more to validate the cost I pay every month. No more holding on to a movie for 6 months!

I voted to cancel. We had 6 months free of HBO and the shows were amazing, but the movie selection was never good. They would play like 1 good movie over and over, and then the rest would be movies nobody heard of that were 4 years old. It wasn't worth it to us to keep it

I just voted for HBO. It seems like you would watch it more than you currently watch what you have. Plus True Blood is one there!

Canceling without getting HBO narrowly won out, so I just canceled them. I am still contemplating getting HBO for a short time to watch that mini series though Devil
