For me, a few years ago I found a 100$ bill on the ground. It wasnt near anything so I couldnt turn it in anywhere!
Also, a few years before that I won a Nintendo game system from the cap of my Diet Dr. pepper. I didnt need it, so I brought it to Best Buy when I got it. Said it was a gift(which was sort of true), and they gave me a credit for the total!.
Let's see. I found $1000 in a bar once. I didn't know what to do so I decided to put it in my pocket and observe the people there. After a little while, I saw a guy digging in his pockets frantically. I asked him if he lost money and he said yeah ten $100 bills. I gave him the money and he bought my friends drinks and gave me $100.
This isn't lucky but I wanted to share. Not long after that, a chick in a bar lost her diamond. The prongs and stone broke off of her engagement ring. She was a MESS. Not only because of the diamond but was soooo drunk they carried her out. I found it and gave it to the bartender. He got it to her. I just found out last week, they're already divorced. Her DH was deployed and while he was gone, she proceeded to sleep with all of his friends. I should have just kept her damn diamond.
I won $200 on a slot machine once and only put $5 in.
But the women in DH's family have even better luck. His grandmother always hits royal flushes on the machines. I kid you not, sometimes more than once a day. And his mother has won $500 on a penny machine and also has hit a few royal flushes. So basically the luck won't rub off just because I married in, but my daughter(s) should inherit it.
I found $4k at Bonnaroo one year...it was all just wisping around in the wind by my tent. I put it in my glove box and observed people.
I did find the owner...poor kid, "God told him to get rid of the money and cut off his dreads". He was a hot mess. Upon talking to him he told me that he also didn't want to live anymore. Throughout the night I would check on him, give him a pep-talk, and just hope that I helped. I do often wonder what happened to him.
The good thing was that I did get a "reward" which I used to put new tires on my truck and I was able to buy a big chunky amber bracelet from the show that I had my eye on all weekend. And I did feel like I helped this kid a little bit...and I gave him sunscreen for his newly bald head.

I won $1,000 on a $1 Wheel of Fortune slot machine!!!! They're the best :-)
ETA: That money ended up funding an ALL night 3 card poker binge for DH and I. We had lost almost all of it by 8am the next morning. Then DH got a straight flush and two hands later 3 of a kind! We quit then. It was a great night. Then we went to the room, took a shower and drove to the Grand Canyon with his family. That day was ROUGH!
Yep! They are so awesome! You get that "SPIN" and you feel so excited, even if you only land on $25 it's still a total win! lol.

I have not had luck with moolah like you all have. I suppose I'm lucky that DH and I both found jobs in our fields after graduating in 08 and 09 - not the best years for job hunting!
I played one of those my entire trip in Vegas convinced that I was going to hit that damned jackpot, but I never did.
Although I am apparently lucky at bingo. I've won $1K once, and $500 two seperate times.
I won an all inclusive trip to Riveria Maya for 8 days by filling out a Corona mail in form. Then I got engaged on the trip.
Tonight I'm hoping we win the lottery!
Getting in on this kind of late, but when I lived in FL I got 5 out of 6 numbers on the FL Lottery. I won $3700. It was exciting. 6 numbers paid about 19 million.
Sounds like all of you have had great luck on the "Wheel" slot. I'm going to have to give it a try!
