? for those of you who sold your dress

I'm wanting to sell my wedding dress and I've tried numerous times on craigslist and whenever I get an interest, their a no-show.  So I think I'm going to try the TTT board.  Question - did you have your dress cleaned before you sold it? I haven't and I really didn't want to.
Married 6/10/09 in Bermuda.

Re: ? for those of you who sold your dress

  • I sold one dress (the one I couldn't loose the weight to fit into :p) using bravobride.com.  I've not had luck with the second dress which I actually wore - but i'm not pushing it as much as the other dress either!  I had both cleaned before I sold them.  I didn't feel right not having it cleaned even though I did end up cleaning the pre-owned dress I bought from someone else anyway...  (may that didn't make sense - but basically I bought a pre-owned, cleaned it, and then sold it without wearing it anyway).

I did have my dress cleaned before I sold it. But it had never been cleaned since our wedding or AHR. There were stains from the sand and dirt, so was not gonna sell it like that. GL with the sale
