Mames, you're an inspiration ;)
All of your D&R questions have my brain all worked up on ideas for us to spice up our house. We need a patio set, you found great inexpensive ones at Big Lots. I might have to take DH shopping this weekend (we already hit bbq weather here). And now I'm trying to think of things to add some color to our house. My first thought is to reupholster our dining room stools in some fun color. D@mn you and your decorating posts!
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

I'm glad my incessant decor questions have helped someone! They're even driving me crazy.
But I'm way thankful to have you guys because every time I post on D&R I get like 4 responses. (No offense to kaley, who I know is a D&R reg.)

Well, the couch is a sage green color. The pillows are big pillows that are the seat backs, basically. Currently, they are sage on one side, and cream, sage, turquoise and tan patterned on the other side. I found some material in matching colors but stripes. I thought it would lighten the set up. The material is a smooth, comfy cotton (whereas now it's a rough, typical couch material). It wouldn't be a huge change, but it would make it look more summery.
Our DR is an open area attached, and we currently have a chocolate brown counter-height table and chocolate brown stools with, yup, chocolate brown cushions. I'm thinking of an orange pop to the chairs and table top...well, I have blue plates, so that may not work. Hmmmm.

You can sorta see some of my furniture in the pictures here. The rug matches, which I why I'm not ready to change it up too much yet.

Orange and blues are complementary because they're opposite each other in the color wheel.
I hope you bring us pics of the finished product! I wish I could sew, b/c I'd totally make my own throw pillows since it's hard finding plum/purples in accents!

This is true. I'm just trying to picture orange, chocolate and blue (plates) together behind a green and beige backdrop (living room).
