XP: Inexpensive Divorce
Ladies - any help would be greatly appreciated:
Hi - my mom needs to file for divorce, asap. Irreconcilable differences. The thing is, there isn't much $ (or really any). Can anyone recommend anyone that could help? Inexpensive services, or people who do pro bono, anything like that? Thanks.

I know there were nesties on my other board who had to file for the divorce. You can file and then your mom and her husband can discuss who wants what. I would have a lawyer quickly review it.
Also when my mom was getting divorced my father tried to push my mom into a form of mediation that would decide the outcome and then that was it.
Sorry I really wasn't paying all that much attention but I hope this helps. These were in Ohio, so I would recommend she get on some divorce chat groups and read some of the basics of Illinois divorce law (maybe they have one of those over simplified non legalese books).
