Hi all! I post here sporadically, but I don't think I ever officially introduced myself either. I moved to Buffalo from Syracuse three years ago, and married my high school sweetheart last November. We live downtown and LOVE it. I work at a bank and my husband works for Erie County. We've been adjusting from the college mentality to grown-up working people, but we're both really happy in our careers. I lurk here all the time, and respect the opinions on this board immensely.
Now my question. My H's boss invited him to the NCAA games on Friday. H is super excited, and it's really generous of his boss to invite him (tickets are selling for $200+). I think he should do something to reciprocate, but H thinks it'd be weird to bring him a thank you gift. Any idea of what would be an appropriate way to say thanks?
Re: Intro/Advice
Hey there, and welcome!
Maybe a really nice bottle of wine? Thats what I might do in this case. I agree that a TY gift would be a nice gesture though.
Hello and welcome back!
I agree with Tab and I would do the same thing. Although not everyone drinks wine, so maybe his fav beer or a bottle of liquor??

Thanks everyone! I should've mentioned that his boss doesn't drink - major stumbling block. I suggested he invite his boss to a meal before/after the game (thanks GlenLake!). He liked that idea, so I think we're good.
This. Or maybe he can offer dinner prior or something.
