It seems like something from the Onion, but it's true.
Ohio company offers 'Sarah-Cuda' hunting bow
XENIA, Ohio ? A
western Ohio manufacturer has designed a custom-designed hunting bow
inspired by Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Lakota Industries Inc. in Xenia announced its "Sarah-Cuda" bow
Wednesday in honor of the Alaska governor's "lifelong passion for the
sport of hunting."
The pink camouflage bow weighs 3.4 pounds and is designed to accommodate female hunters and archers. It retails for $590.
Lakota chief executive *** Williamson says the bow also pays
tribute to women who "bear the responsibility of family and work while
strengthening the moral fiber of society."
The company will donate 10 percent of Sarah-Cuda proceeds to the
National Association for Down Syndrome. The 44-year-old Palin is a
mother of five who gave birth earlier this year to a son with the
genetic condition.

A pink bow while hunting? What are you going to be hunting, flamingos?
Gah, apparently this co. wants women who hunt to get eaten alive by wild animals.
Colored camo always makes me giggle.
And I had no idea hunting bows were so damn expensive!
Oh my god.
I am laughing hysterically right now. A pink bow? That is not a ribbon? WTF?
I've been to Xenia, Ohio. Does not surprise me.
But how is a pink bow "camouflage"? Unless you're shooting from behind a pink hydrangea bush?
I'm am all for archery as a sport but the though of people running around in the woods and hitting wildlife with arrows makes me wanna
Klassic!
Aside from the points made above, why do companies think they need to make shit pink in order for women to buy it? I have two children and spend a lot of time in toy stores, and it pisses off the feminist in me that my daughter is supposed to want to play soccer or softball because the ball is pink. Play with the regulation colors, dammit!
Whew, off my soapbox.
Amen sister.
wasn't there a story a while ago about Obama being PO'ed about pink baseball mitts for his daughters?

Anway, I almost feel like calling the company. I grew up around hunters (though I personally find the sport abhorrent), both male and female, and it is completely idiotic to go out into the woods with a pink camo bow.

Oh.my.god...I am in stitches right now. This is just too much. A pink bow + wildlife + woods =/=
.
Edited for typo.
I bought two, just now.
KIDDING!
Xenia, Ohio is also the city that brought us the movie Gummo. Scary.

A summary:
The film, from there, chronicles the anti-social adventures these two boys have. These include sniffing glue, killing cats, having sex, riding dirtbikes, listening to black metal, and meeting a cavalcade of quirky, bizarre, and scary people. These include a man who pimps his mentally ill wife to our anti-heroes, three sisters who play with their cat and practice becoming strippers, a black midget fending off the sexual advances of a troubled man (played by the director Harmony Korine), a 12-year-old gay transvestite who is also a cat killer, Solomon's mother who seems to be the only glimpse of sanity, two foul-mouthed six-year olds, and most importantly, a nymphlike skateboarder who walks around town wearing pink rabbit ears.
