NER: Infected vocal chords
Ugh! I went to be last night with my glands in my neck hurting. I thought maybe I was getting allergies since it also felt like I had a drip.
Middle of the night I woke up in complete pain, couldn't swallow and my left ear was killing me.
Luckily my doctor took me first thing this morning. He says vocal chords are infected - no allergies or ear infection. He gave me two shots and prescriptions for antibotics and pain. Took the Ceflacor just now with lunch but I think I will wait until I get home to take the Vicadon.
It's heck to be a teacher with mid-terms next week so I couldn't cancel classes today. I got through the two morning ones whispering but I am going downhill fast in how I feel. Just one more class in 30 minutes then I am out of here and to bed.
But I'll be sure to be awake for the debate! I just won't be able to yell at the tv!

No not okay to talk. But I told him I had no choice but to get through classes today because these kids have their mid-terms on Tuesday and today was the big wrap up the material & review day. They only meet on Tuesdays/Thursdays. And I couldn't push back mid-terms as fall break starts next Thursday and mid-terms grades must be in by then.
But I am off tomorrow and Monday & Tuesday I will just being giving the exams so I will be resting my voice for a few days.
