Would you test your own DNA?
My local silly radio morning show had a who is more Irish bet going on and as part of their evidence, they had their DNA tested for ancestral origins. Basically, the test indicated where their ancestors were from, which areas they identified with both originally and in migration. I thought it sounded pretty cool as I have one grandparent that is a big old question mark. Plus, being part Hispanic, and knowing Hispanic roots come from all over, I thought it would be cool to find out exactly where they come from.
So, my question is: is this something any of you would consider just for fun?
We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.

Re: Would you test your own DNA?
I think it would be very cool to know!! I'm white, and my maiden name is Scottish -- that's all I know. I could be like .0005% Scottish, and the other be of 99.9995% unknown origin.
Whether or not I'd actually get tested though, would depend on how involved the process was and how much it cost.

Dandy I thought about doing this for our dog as well. I have no clue what she is. She's a collie of some sort, but what else is mixed in we have no clue.
