Have you seen it?
My DH and I watched it for the first time last night. Let's just say I'm really glad he was home with me, because I blubbered like a little baby through the entire thing. Seriously, I mean, I get choked up at Disney movies and on a rare occassion one or two tears will stream down my cheek. But this? This was full on sobs. And not just at the classic "sentimental Disney moment" near the end -- nope, at points throughout the WHOLE MOVIE (I'd say about four times in the 96 minute film).
I've conferred with other friends (female AND male) who have said they've had similar experiences to mine.
Now, on the flip side to the blubbering, I thought this movie was hysterical. Not like most Pixars, which are full of jokes. Instead, it was real humor, and it balanced nicely. I also thought, compared to most Pixars, it had quite a bit of an edge to it -- much more "adult" than previous films.
Re: Pixar's "UP"
THIS. I loooove this movie! Even though its sad, its a happy kind of sad. And its super cute and funny. Probably in my top 3 pixar-type animated films.
