When are you planting?
What are you planting this year?
We did all containers last year, but are thinking of doing a bed this year. Any advice?
Re: Poll for gardeners
When are you planting? I've already got snow peas in the ground (and they are sprouting!) along with some lettuces. I've got some peppers, eggplant and early season tomatoes in the greenhouse already. Oh, and I have asparagus as well, but that's a perennial. I hope to start the rest of my peppers along with some broccoli this weekend.
What are you planting this year? In addition to what I've already started, I'll be adding some other varieties of peppers and later season tomatoes, along with watermelon, cucumbers, and cantaloupe
We did all containers last year, but are thinking of doing a bed this year. Any advice? Unfortunately, we're learning things through trial and error right now.
When are you planting? I'm putting in snow peas, lettuce, and spinach this weekend. It's kind of on the late side, but since it was such a cold spring I'm thinking it will probably be OK. Here's a good reference for when to plant what:

What are you planting this year? I will probably buy some pepper & tomato plants. Haven't decided if I'm going to do cucumber, squash, and zucchini from seed or not. And bought some herbs last year (full plants) and had them in containers, so I'll probably do that again.
We did all containers last year, but are thinking of doing a bed this year. Any advice? No, I suck at gardening pretty bad. Good luck!
When are you planting? I'm putting Early spring items in the ground this weekend hopefully. (I already have them started inside and they are seedlings now so I'm not really that late): artichokes, brussels, collards, cabbage and some lettuce. I will plant the bulk in April and some of the big garden in May.
What are you planting this year?Everything I can get my hands on. To name a few: eggplant, zuchini, squash, tomatoes, corn, winter squash, beans, lettuce, herbs, peppers, cabbage, artichoke, brussel sprouts, etc.
We did all containers last year, but are thinking of doing a bed this year. Any advice? Go for it but be prepared to do a lot of weeding.
When are you planting? probably not for another few weeks.
What are you planting this year? just tomatoes and zucchini
We did all containers last year, but are thinking of doing a bed this year. Any advice? I'm doing my "earth boxes" again this year on our deck. They seemed to work really well.
I did a raised bed, its an 8x8. Its good, but like someone else posted that 'you'll have a lot of weeding to do. I certainly did. Last year I did tomatoes, basil, oregano, jalapenos, cilantro ( but I killed it), and thyme. It was so wet last year the tomatoes did well earlier but they got end rot later in the season.
I'm thinking of doing a container garden for my herbs since I have such a small space. I've got a couple of weeks until I decide, I'm going to plant 2nd weekend in April.
broccoli, lettuce and spinach went in on friday. they're a little late, but just by a few days. i'm not too concerned. tomato, pepper, squash, zucchini, and cucumber seedlings are already 3 weeks in. strawberries and blueberries are slowly coming back to life.
see above
i had no problems with my raised beds and weeds. raised beds typically need more water though since the soil is looser. i've had substantially more success in my raised beds than my regular beds.
