plans for the weekend?
the weather here in NY has been gorgeous this week!!!! i hope its been nice everywhere.
whats everyone up to this weekend?
im going to try gardening
we'll see. i bought a book today so hopefully ill have some clue as to what im doing. i have flowers and shrubs that were here when we bought the house but i havent really done anything with them since they died in the fall. i think im supposed to cut the dead stalks down and hopefully theyll bloom again this year. anyway i figure if i mess up i can just go to lowes and buy new flowers to plant and start fresh
Re: TGIF! what are your......
I am doing a lot of school work. I actually rushed home tonight since it's so gorgeous here and finished planting my Astilbe. I have a lot of planning to do in my back "nook" of my yard cause I'm planting a bulb garden of gladiolis, clematis, canna's, calla's, and daffodils. I also want to order a flowering quince to stick back in an area of our woods that needs jazzed up a little. I also have 10 trees from the Arbor day foundation to plant. Whew. We also need to get to a nursery and get some fill dirt to fill our raised bed gardens and plant my seeds that I germinated this week.
In addition I have to do a studio project, study for a plants exam, a history exam, and finish a computer graphics project.
Are you sure there are only 2 days in a weekend? I need 5!
BTW - I'm working on my Masters in Landscape Architecture right now so if you have plant questions I can let you know what I know, or I can try to point you in the right direction. Also, the people on the Gardening and Landscaping board are great.
working....working..working
and avoiding H, as i am furious that he went out partying and spent a tonne of money when we have so much wedding debt, and i am working 15hr days...grrrrr

It's supposed to be gorgeous here. And DH actually has the whole weekend off (Which hasn't happened since, like, the wedding!), so we're going to Philly tomorrow to go to the zoo and then Dave & Busters, and then Sunday we're going to a park and having a movie night.
I'm so excited that I get to spend so much time with him!

Meg, your weekend sounds like something right up my alley! But my weekend is going to be boring.
DH has health clinic in the morning. I really should get some cleaning done, but we'll see. We're going to someone's apt for enchiladas tomorrow night, I' not too excited about that for various reasons.
Sunday we'll probably relax and watch basket ball all day. IDK.

Lots of cleaning. I still have to clear some boxes from wedding gifts out of the living room. With luck, we can have return some dinner invitations soon!
Definitely the farmer's market Saturday morning and church on Sunday morning. DH pretty much never has weekends off, so lots of alone time. I might catch up on some work reading.
BUT, the most exciting part is that I won tickets to the David Letterman show for Monday -- which both DH and I happen to have off -- so we're catching a bus to NYC on Sunday night so we can have as much NYC time on Monday as we can! I'm so excited to see Letterman! Plus, it's definitely our biggest trip since the honeymoon, so we're excited!
Today I already went grocery shopping (at 7am to avoid the girl scouts...possibly a horrible thing to say)...then I'm cleaning a little bit before our swimming state opens meet that I'm really excited about.
Tonight, I might try a couple recipes I've been wanting to try, and DH and I might have a quiet night in.
Sunday I'll hopefully finish cleaning, go to the gym, see my parents...who knows!
have a great weekend everyone!
BFP on Jan. 18; EDD Oct. 1
Today we get to go ice bowling and do some dancing at the local ice areana. All goes towards the local Jaycees club for their kid programs.
Tomorrow it's not so fun of cleaning and studying.
