Has anyone filed their Taxes yet- if so did you file under your married name or maiden name?
I am going to my parents house tomorrow to finally file (I use their software) and after thinking about it a while I figured I would file under my maiden name since that was my name for all of 2009 and that is the name on my W-2 etc. Just wondering if anyone had filed yet and what you did...
Re: Taxes
I just did mine earlier this week and I used my married name. I was informed that if your name has officially been changed thru Social Security (gotten your new SS card) you use your married name. Your SSN didn't change and that's what they use.
Good luck!

I'm soooo glad you asked this 'cause I would have left it to the last minute and then had no idea what to do. Thanks for the input, everyone!

FYI... The tax software I used instraucted me to use the name that is currently on my SSN card- so since I have already changed my name with SSA I used my married name- when I got to the point where you load the info on your W-2 it insturcted me to list the name printed on my W-2 so there I put my maiden name...
Thanks for all of the responses! = )
