Hi ladies - I'm sorry I've been more of a lurker than a poster but I need some help.
I love my photographer and he gave me a super awesome deal when he did my pictures. We did a TTD a few days after the wedding while surfing. We've stayed in touch since the wedding. He'll be in New Orleans this weekend. And he's offering me another TTD - all pure fun to run around in the wedding dress (same spare one I used for surfing). I've never been to New Orleans and I don't have to pay to fly there as an airline person. But it could cost me a night of hotel and an evening I don't get to spend with MH (we're apart a few nights a week).
I've never been to New Orleans... which would be fun by itself. Would you do it? Or is 5 months after the wedding too long to be running around in a wedding dress like a crazy girl?
TIA
Re: Second TTD?
I'd love another excuse to get dressed up and take pictures, but I'd want a different dress
If you don't mind the expense of the hotel, it would be fun. Could your husband swing the trip too? Then it would be a min-getaway too.
I hope everything works out.

Thanks ladies. Normally, MH would jump at the chance to go to Louisiana since he's got a good buddy there but it just happens, this buddy is going to be back in CA instead. (MH and I commute between CA and GA). So this would be a solo part-day trip for me while enroute back to GA.
I've emailed the photog and asked him which day, and if we can do it on a Friday evening, then I think I'll do it. Can't resist more fun pictures in a wedding dress
I'm almost sure there's no charge as he asked to do these just for fun but I'll double check.
I say DO IT!! Why not?
I took "day after" pics here when we got back from Hawaii just b/c I wanted something done here & I had always imagined taking my wedding pics in the French Quarter. I love those pics & am really glad I did it.
I did my b-pics at the hotel below (it is kind of on the cusp of French Quarter & Warehouse Dist) & it was pretty affordable (approx $75/night) - at least it was a year ago! Hotel rates are going to depend on what is going on in town, but you can find some good rates (I've found some good ones on hotels.com & hotwire.com)
