Has anyone heard of this? This guy video tapes his wife crying after watching totally random, not sad movies, it's pretty hilarious.... I was thinking of it because DH just put on "Up"... we're about 20 minutes in, and I've already been crying. I'm such a sap!
Re: The crying wife
This is totally me! I cry after everything we see and DH always makes fun. I try to hide it to not get made fun of, but it doesn't work too often... it looks like she's not even trying to hide her tears!
I even cry at commercials sometimes... I really did cry after seeing one of those Visa card "Olympic Moments" commercials. The one with Dan Jansen and his dead sister... yeah.
And also... so you don't feel bad... Up is one of the saddest movies I've ever seen. I cried like a baby almost the entire time. It's also one of the stupidest movies I've ever seen, so it make me feel even dumber about crying. Why, Disney? Why?
My Blog!
Mine is anything with elderly people... I don't know why. I had to leave the room during Benjamin Button.
We just finished up... and yeah, I cried A LOT during that movie. But Carl and Ellie remind me of me and DH... and the doberman in the movie reminded me of ours... and Doug looks like our goldendoodle (and TOTALLY acts like him, as in "I just met you, I LOVE YOU!" lol). And when Carl looked through the adventure book and saw all the pics from their lives together... totally lost it. I'm tearing up again just thinking about it! So cute. Ugh.
They reminded me of DH and I too! How they kept saving up for their dreams and then having to bust into their savings to fix the roof or when somebody got hurt... it's SO DH and I... I feel like we'll never have enough for what we would love our lives to be.
It was just so sad to actually see it come true for them.
And, I have no idea why, but I can just imagine having trouble having a baby... I don't know why, but in the last year or so, I keep thinking "I spent all these years trying so hard NOT to be pregnant, what if I can't?" Ugh... that's another story in itself, but it was easy to relate to in the movie. SUCH a sad movie.
I also cried during UP. Also on the cry list:
1) Ghost (I bawl- I refused on many occasions to watch it with my DH for this reason)
2) The Notebook (book, too)
3) (....I'm sure there's more, but I need coffee... I"ll add them as I think of them...)
