what do I pay taxes for again??
So this weekend Hubby and I were out of town. I presume last night some of our local juvenile delinquents went through my block gang tagging the garages. Hubby and I came home to a mess... I called the non-emergency police number which is answered by a county wide central dispatch and they tell me... wait for it.... to call back between 8 and 4 Monday through Friday. I am so stinking irritated right now. Do they think that crimes don't happen at night or on the weekends? I can't start a stupid homeowner's insurance claim until I get a police report number, nor can I clean it up until our insurance tells me if they're going to send someone out or not (I'm guessing not but I dont' want to get rid of the tagging incase they do). I won't have daylight hours to paint over the crap until NEXT weekend but could have had it done today - not to mention that the forecast is for cold and rain.
I vented via facebook about it and my cousins wife, who is a police officer in a very nearby city, said that she thought it was total B.S. that they won't even take a report so that we can get on with things. Even another law enforcement person thinks it is bogus. *sigh* As soon as the market goes up, I'm outta this place.
