Finally Saw New Moon

You know I don't get out much, LOL!

I liked it much more than Twilight.

I definitely see the appeal of Team Edward, his and Bella's romance is epic.

But, I think I am going to state myself officially as Team Jacob!!

(sorry SBS!)

Re: Finally Saw New Moon

  • I saw Twilight and New Moon before I read the books... and I agree that I was leaning towards Team Jacob also after seeing the movie. ALTHOUGH- after reading the books I realized that Jacob annoyed the crap out of me and the movie doesn't make him so.. so... "childish" (at least that's my opinion on him!)

  • I saw Twilight and New Moon before I even started reading the books. In the movies, I was a Team Edward fan and I am even more so now that I read the books.
  • I'm very Team Edward but oh my, shirtless Jacob was definitely good eye candy in NM.

I have quite a few friends who are "Team Edward in the Books/Team Jacob in the Movies" and/or are "Team Edward/Team Taylor."

But my heart belongs to Edward 110%. If the rest of the world is misguided, well, I've done all I can... Wink

  • I was part of an interesting discussion on Twilight with my in-laws Saturday evening.

His aunt is pretty obsessed with the series, and is VERY Team Edward. She was trying to get my SIL to read it (she saw the first movie and the trailers for "Remember Me" and just loves RPatz), so she told SIL reading the series will make her want to jump her husband. Then they turn to me ask "Did reading it make you want to have a lot of sex?"

If I could make the embarrassed emoticon on Chrome right here, I would.

    :-/

  • I'd say I'm on team Edward ? though I wasn't as crazy about the movie Edward as I was the book Edward...

Mamie, eek! that is soooo awkward!!

  • I have yet to see New Moon but I've read all the books and I'm Team Edward as well... I didnt have the "it will make you want to have lots of sex" reaction though... Mamie - what's the answer?  Are your SIL and aunt just crazy or did other people have that reaction.

And Mamie I feel for ya, my face would have turned bright red in that situation.  However DH's only aunt is also almost 60...

  • Haha. I plead the fifth. :)

Ok, this makes sense. I haven't read any of the books, but I imagine I would have the same conclusion as you (our literary tastes seem to be very similar! LOL). He is a very good, sweet, gold hearted boy in the movie, which is why I like him. And those muscles!! Holy ess!! Good Lawd!!

My favorite part of the night--my husband turns to me and says "When did Sharkboy get jacked?" LMAO. I was crying I was laughing so hard.

But RPatz is definitely charming and magnetic, I totally get the attraction that everyone has there!! (and I mean EVERYone) haha.

Mames-I turned 3 shades of red for you after reading that. Um, ::crickets::

    BWAHAHAHAHA.

I'm horribly embarrassed for you...but I'm also blushing because in my mind I'm thinking "Well, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn kinda did...which is probably the only reason my husband didn't throw out the damn books..."

The Southern Vampire Series gave me more of this reaction than the Twilight series.  TrueBlood, however, does NOT have the same effect.

We have so much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.
