We went out to dinner with one of Ben's cousins last night, who lives in the same town as we do - she has a 5-month old baby girl. The cousin recently visited a friend of hers, who has both a girl and a boy - the friend gave her a ton of infant girl clothes, then mentioned that she also had a whole bunch of baby boy clothes in great condition that she didn't know what to do with and was thinking of donating. Ben's cousin told her about our twins, and the friend gave her all of the clothes (two massive shopping bags!) to give to us!
On top of that, the cousin and her husband were on Team Green, so everything they got for their little girl in the 0-3 month range was unisex. She's grown out of that stuff now, so the cousin is going to pass it all on to us. (LOL we are going to have the best dressed kids right up until about 6 months. Then they're going to be butt nekkid, but it's awesome that we don't have to worry about clothes for that long anyway!)
I love free stuff!
Re: BR: free stuff score!
Awesome! I have a friend who had 2 girls and isn't planning to have anymore kids so she sent me tons of her girls' clothes. Gotta love it!
Love it! That rocks. My BFF has gotten a ton of stuff from our other friend who has twin boys that are 1.5 years older than her son. So she has TWO of everything!
My other friend has 3 year old daughter and has sent me two boxes full of 18-24 months clothes as well as tons of blankets, bibs, burp cloths, etc. At the rate Libby is growing (she's 8 weeks tomorrow and in 3-6 months clothing and out of her infant prefolds and S/Duo 1 Thirsties Wraps already...) who knows? She may be wearing them sooner than I think! Eek!

That's great! I really can't see the point of spending $$ on a ton of new baby clothes when they outgrow them so quickly. Other than for a cute holiday photo or something...
We've been getting ours second hand and saving huge... hopefully we'll get more hand-me-downs once we know if it's a he or a she!
