When is your next vacation? Don't really have one planned. We're going to FL for a wedding MH is in but I don't count that as vacation. Oh wait we are planning to go to Mexico again next Jan.
Where are you going or hope to go? I want to go to Germany or Ireland sometime this year but don't think it will happen
Would you rather do one big vacation or several little ones? I'd rather do several big vacations
Where is the #1 place you want to go right now? Hong Kong or Thailand...I'm torn
What's your favorite place you have visited so far? It's a tough decision but I think I'll say Hawaii
What's one place you wouldn't recommend going? If you want good beaches then don't go to Puerto Vallarta. Don't think I've ever been somewhere I wouldn't recommend!
When is your next vacation? no clue at this point not sure if we will do a vacation this year (a big one anyway)
Where are you going or hope to go? I'd love to go to New Orleans in the fall if that's possible, otherwise I'm sure the only trip we will take will be to Southern Illinois for the family reunion
Would you rather do one big vacation or several little ones? I'd rather do a big one...little ones are nice but they tend to be on the weekends and if I'm going to take time off I like it to be during work!
Where is the #1 place you want to go right now? I really really want to go to Ireland for our 5th anny...Costa Rica would be second
What's your favorite place you have visited so far? this is hard because I've been a lot of places but my favorite thing to do is rent a cabin in the smokies for a long weekend
What's one place you wouldn't recommend going? Cayman Islands, we only stopped on a cruise so maybe if we were there longer and had a chance to do more it'd be better but from the small glimpse I had I didn't care much for it
When is your next vacation? we're going to a wedding in Indiana in July and then to the beach for a week in August.

Really!? You and Elizabeth both said that. We went to the Cayman's for a week with MH's family and had a great time. We rented a house to stay at and really enjoyed the food, shopping, and beaches! I'd go back again!
I went on a cruise and we were only there for about 8 hours or so. It could have been the area where we were? I'm not sure. Plus, all our planned outings got cancelled because of a hurricane that was coming in (we were planning on going scuba diving).
I think if you had been able to do the scuba diving you would have a different opinion. It was some of the best snorkeling (besides Hawaii) that I've ever done!

I change my last answer - AIs and cruises are NOT for me and I don't recommend them to anyone who wants to travel. You won't experience the culture when you're at a tourist trap for a few hours. Grand Cayman is on our short list for vacations in the very near future (in fact, it came down to GC, Costa Rica and Belize for this year) but I would not stay near where cruise ships dock.

When is your next vacation? April 16th begins a few days off; mid-May for a full week.
Where are you going or hope to go? Leaving for Boston April 16th! May? Greg has this brilliant idea we're road-tripping... but we'll see. LOL He falls asleep after like a half hour in the car. How fun.

Where is the #1 place you want to go right now? Boston, since it's coming up SO FAST!! I've never been, and am getting really excited! After that... no clue, which is why we haven't even considered anything else yet.

Jo, seriously, now that our party's over, I was thinking this morning and realized "HOLY CRAP! I have this week (this weekend I'm going to try and get the spare room painted, which will make the week zoom by). Next week, which I'll be baking for Easter at MIL's. The following week Mark is coming to town so we'll be busy hanging out and doing stuff with him around town. And then... I'M FLYING TO BOSTON!" Woohoo!!

I'm 50/50 on cruises and AI. I loved my first cruise because it had a good itinerary and decent amounts of time at each port. The second cruise was good but definitly not as good. I like being able to see several different places all in one trip but I completely understand how you miss out on the culture and everything else. About the only thing I like about AI's is the fact that the food is included so you don't have to worry about money for that.
I am so so excited! I am so bummed you can't come though Val, We will get a life size cardboard cutout and bring it with us everywhere.
