Forgive me if this has been asked before, I have a terrible memory!
Do you and your DH have a date night? How often? Is it always the say day or random?
Also, what sparked you and your DH having a date night?

DH and I do have a date night. It is now random, but one day a week we make sure to dedicate a night to just us. We understand that occasionally something might come up and interfere, but it should be rare.
We originally started a date night bc it seemed like we were never spending time together. I'd be gone all day for work and DH sometimes at night. Then we would have friends over or be going out to places trying to meet new people. So we decided to have one day a week for us. Originally we set it for a specific day (like Tuesday) but then things would come up and we felt guilty bailing. So we changed it to one day each week, so sometime Sunday is the day bc we get too wrapped up.
It's pretty random, but we don't have kids, so we really don't need an established "date night" as we have all the time in the world to spend together.
Our regular dates include dinner out, watching a movie at home, an occasional movie at the theater, we go to the Greenville Little Theater for the improv shows every couple months, we cook out, have friends over to chat, play wii, card games, etc.
I haven't heard the term "date night" til I moved down here. Up in NY we just called it "going out".
We very rarely go out. Before DS was born of course we could go out at the drop of a hat if we wanted to, but usually didn't. I think we did most of our "date nights" when we were actually dating. We did go out here and there.
Now that DS is here and don't have as much freedom, we only go out on special occasions. We have been out 4 times since Nicholas was born last March. Mother's Day/Anniversary/My Birthday/and we just went out the other night to see Alice in Wonderland.

I have always heard it as "date night" (even in Boston).
They are random. We try to do a nice dinner out, just the 2 of us, twice a month.
We work and go to grad school at Clemson (downtown G'ville building) so we are busy. But since we are both getting our MBA we try to take as many evening classes together as we can so that way it's cheaper (only buy one book) but also we are together.
We don't have any kids or pets so any time we aren't at work we are together which is our "date" time I guess. We go downtown, out to eat, have friends over but usually during the week we watch a movie at home or play wii on the nights that we don't have class.
