Anniversary restaurant remorse
Our anniversary is this upcoming weekend, and I have a reservation at Capital Grille. We went to Ruth's Chris for Valentines (H's favorite) so I decided to book Capital Grille for our anniversary. Now it is less than a week away and I wish I had put more thought in to it and chose someplace else....someplace we have not been a million times. I was looking at Open Table, and because it is restaurant week there is very limited availability. Has anyone ate at "Moooo?"
Re: Anniversary restaurant remorse
I'm sorry you're not excited about your choice, but it's a great restaurant so try not to be bummed and enjoy the yumminess if you can't get another place.
That said, Open Table doesn't show the full availability of the restaurants. Most places only put some % of their tables on the system, so you could always call them and see if they can accomodate you. There are also a ton of restaurants that just aren't on Open Table too, of course. If you're still looking to get a Restaurant Week deal, Google the full list of restaurants that are participating; they're not all on OT!
I went to Mooo for a Valentine's dinner and I loved it. We had the prix-fixe $35 per person that they offer every Sunday and Monday and the portions were great! Food was really good and I loved the atmosphere. The gingerbread cake is to die for too!
I've done KO Prime too and it's more of a gourmet steakhouse. And the best short rib macaroni and cheese!
H loves steak so that is what I was looking for. What kind of food is at Salts?
he he he he...it is so funny
Me too and then I have DH take a picture of me under the sign ahahha
It's French-influenced American. Not a stuffy place at all, but romantic and friendly.

The lavendar honey glazed whole roasted duck for two is amaaaaaazing and you should request it in advance (I only gave two hours advance notice, but think I got the last one that night).
I took DH to Metropolitan in Brookline (or Newton, it was right on the edge, I remember feeling like it was way out in the boonies but it was just Rt. 9) for his birthday one year. You get to choose the cow and part of the cow you want to eat. I personally didn't enjoy that but DH thought it was really cool.
It WAS good food, but it's not intimate.
lavender. honey. roast. duck. ?

That sounds delicious, and if this is anywhere near as good as the No. 9 Park prune gnocchi rec you gave me its phenomenal!
Oh it's at least as good as that (and you're so cute for remembering that I rec'd that). And since it's a whole duck we only ate half of it so you get a whole other half to enjoy later
