They gave cursory time to civil unions (and, well, I'm not thrilled with their treatment of that), but what about women's issues? You know, those ones that Palin thinks "our enemies" hate us for.
Was there a single question on those issues that concern at least half the US population directly? Nothing on access to birth control, abortion, emergency contraception, stem cells, equal pay even?!
While I realize there are many issues to be covered, I'd much rather hear about that than an Israel love fest. I want Palin to prove how much she supports those women's rights. I want it said loud and clear that McCain is no maverick on that issue at all; he's as conservative as the most right wingers on it, and people need to know, especially women who think Palin is good for them.
Was there any other major issue that was glaringly missing?
Oh, and did she really wink? More than once? Or was I imagining that? Really? A woman wants to be taken seriously in such a powerful position (and boy does she think it would be more powerful than is constitutionally appropriate), and she winks?

Re: what about the social issues
yeah, I noticed that the womens' issues were glaringly absent, too.
I wonder if it was something that Gwen I. decided to avoid because of the controversy around HER... don't want to ask the question that can make SP look bad.
Yes, she winked. Repeatedly.
I found it incredibly disconcerting.
That, and the smiling through serious answers - - particularly the "when would you use nuclear weapons" discussion. There are some times when you just shouldn't smile, and having a discussion about the use of nuclear weapons is one of them...
I am the 99%.
