Re: Happy Tuesday

  • Last Night- Work, FB then sleep, lol... very exciting stuff!

Today- Work, fb, clean then sleep... I don't know how to contain my excitement here!

Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time. Midnight Baking Adventures Blog
  • I'm off today!

Last night I made some really yummy stirfry and marinated chicken and we just hung out.

Today I'm hanging out with a friend and heading to VG :)

  • Yesterday was interesting.

Had an appt with the OB and we discussed my needing to continue seeing the Peri. After our last appt with Peri, he had failed to really give us any medical reasons as to why we needed to continue seeing him, but he was still recommending lots of monitoring. My OB said she did not see any reason to continue seeing him! Yay!

Then at girls night, two of the girls announced that they were not going to continue coming. One said that it was an inconveiance for her husband to watch her son and girls night was not suiting her needs anymore. I kind of saw this coming, but I never thought she would quit completely. I had always thought once everyone started having kids and life became busier we would just drop it down to once a month or potentially once every other month. We have been doing girls night for 6 years now so its kind of sad. The  3 of us that are left will probably still continue getting together but it won't be the same. :(

Yay for not having to see the Peri! Congrats :)

Re: Girls Night- thats strange that she is quitting the group- you would think she would just decrease the frequency, or just show up when she feels like a girls night... sorry :(  Friendships can definitely be a challenge sometimes.

  • I think there also may be more to it than what she told us.

There was some drama between one of her and the other girls last fall. Then her husband for some reason thinks it's okay for him to have guys night out but doesn't feel it should apply to her and that she should bring her son with her whenever she goes out. She has brought her son with in the past but he always acts out and screams so she gets frustrated with him and just leaves early.

  • Robyn - Sorry to hear about Girls Night Out...it's sad things have to change but they don't change that much!  Her husband needs to learn to help out more.

We had a good night.  Sarah did pretty well with potty training at school (3 accidents) and didn't have any accidents last night after we got home!  Yay!  I made pork chops for dinner which even Sarah ate (she's kinda picky when it comes to meat - everything else she eats).  Afterwards we just hung out until bed time.  I was super tired so after Sarah went down I went to bed and fell asleep at about 9:30.  I slept straight through until 5:15!  Woot!  I got up and worked out (a step routine on Wii Active More Workouts) and got ready for my day.

Just work today.  At some point I've got to get our laundry done since C leaes for his shooting class in Vegas on Thursday and I leave for the Bay Area with Sarah on Friday.  Tonight, I'm hoping we finish up early and can go for a walk.  C downloaded a new app to his iPhone - Geocaching!  There's one about a 1/2 mile from here and I'd love to find it!

Hope everyone has a great day!

  • Yay for not need to see the Peri any more.

I agree, odd to "quit" girls night.  I can see coming less often, but to completely stop is a bit odd.  My main mommy group does Mom's Night Out once a month plus book club/night out once a month.  When DD was younger, I didn't go much since she didn't take a bottle, but now that she's older, I do NOT miss a night out, lol.  I'm still debating going Thursday night even though it's our anniversary... nothing planned.  DH gets to do stuff with his friends without the baby, so now it's my turn.   If he's busy, then MIL comes over.

Last night was grocery shopping after being gone for a week and cooking dinner.  I was too tired to do anything else.  FB'd and went to bed early.  Today I have a contractor coming for a quote to get our backyard done and then I need to unpack, clean, and work on orders so that I can work on my upcoming craft boutique and the conference where my other company is doing a vendor booth.

  • Robyn - Sorry to hear about your girls night drama, sounds like someone's husband needs a swift kick ;)

Work went by quickly yesterday and I had a nice lunch with a CW that made me feel better about some stuff going on at work. After work took the dog for a walk, had leftovers and watched Revolutionary Road.

Today nothing exciting. I'm going to make veggie burgers for dinner since I've had this craving for them. Probably catch up on Lost too.

  • Had a midwife appt today, everything was good, except my protein was low again, :( More meat for me I guess. Got to hear babies heartbeat, 145 to 149 beats per minute, and I gained 2 pounds. Husband has class tonight so I will probably work on the babies room by myself. I have to fill the holes in the plaster and sand out some of the rough stuff on the outside. Also, might start on stripping my hardware...

Robyn- Drama with Girls night! I always thought it would be fun to have a group of friends that are girls to hang out with like that, I hope you can get your group going!

  • Robyn: I bet you're right & it's more than what she disclosed. So sad, I hope everyone starts gtg soon. Maybe if you started a gtg once a month that's kid friendly everyone will feel more welcomed? Idk, that just sucks.

I've been in a crap mood since yesterday. The "official" race times were posted & my name was not on the list. I emailed the person in charge, hopefully he can clear this up. :(

  • Today was work and tutoring. I did stop by the library and pick up a how to learn french cd set.  I listened to it on the way home. My goal is to learn a lesson on the way home and review it on the way to work the next day. I know I won't learn much, but maybe we will be able to survive if I keep doing it until August. Plus, it passed my commute time much quicker!
