As I said in a different post, I'm doing weight watchers online. I posted on the message boards asking for low point dinner ideas for picky eaters because my husband doesn't like anything healthy.
I got a reply basically telling me that my marriage is a failure and giving me marriage advice. I really didn't join weight watchers for marriage advice.
Anyway, as someone else said recently, you guys rock.
Re: Evil People Everywhere
Lol so funny! I posted a message yesterday on the nest about my daughter and shaving her legs and you would have thought I was some kind of monster by their responses!!! It is amazing how people can take a simple question and turn it around!!
As to your healthy question. My ex would not eat healthy at all! I used to have to make two dinners OR I would make mine and add more stuff to it for him and the kids....kind of like a happy medium. Good luck with WW!
People can be nuts. lol
So far I'm just eating a tiny bit of what I fix for him with a lot of veggies.
MY BLOG!
my boss is doing weight watchers too, she is sharing everything with us about what she eats. I'll keep my ears open for a tasty recipe. also my co worker wants to do a pot luck at work so my boss says only if we have or make weight watchers food:) so I asked to look at the recipes. I'll let you know how that turns out as well.
I recommend Cooking Light magazine (and it's Web site, where you can get all of the recipes for free). Such yummy stuff. I don't think they include WW points, but everything is set up to be well balanced and healthy, so I'd imagine they would come in on target (although I'm not familiar with WW point system). Also, even before DH got on his healthy kick, he LOVED everything I made from there (and he was a total steak/fries/no veggies type of guy).
Also, KatieintheCity is on WW and is having awesome success...you might want to page her for some suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. As I said, you all are awesome.
Seriously?? Damn!
Sorry they were so mean to you
I lurk on the other boards but am scared to post anywhere but here.
I'm *trying* to get back on the WW wagon. It's tough now that I don't have The Wedding as a goal, but here are a couple websites I've found that I think are helpful:
Skinny Week : lots of recipes including "bad" food like Red Lobster's cheddar biscuits
Debbie's Weight Loss Zone: this lady has posted TONS of lists of the point values for food, including a bunch of restaurants. Also, now a lot of restaurants will post their nutritional values on their websites. If I know we're going out to a particular restaurant I find it really helpful to look over their menu and find the lower point options before we even get to the restaurant. That way I'm less tempted to blow it and order whatever sounds really good when I'm looking at the menu and hungry.
Also, if you don't have a points calculator, then you should get one! They're awesome!!
Agreed! Debbie's Website is awesome! I have it marked at work and at home. I also use (not at the moment but should) this link...helps me figure out WW points before I eat. http://www.webmilhouse.com/pointcalc.php and this one http://www.angelfire.com/journal/wwrecipes/ for recipes. AND I have this....helps you figure out how many points u can have per day.
1. Are you
female?- score 2
Male?- score 8
A nursing mom?- score 12
2. How old are you?
17-26- score 4
27-37- score 3
38-47- score 2
48-58- score 1
over 58- score 0
3.What do you weigh?
Enter the first two digits of your weight in pounds.
(for example, if you weight 199, you will add 19 to your score)
4. How tall are you?
Under 5?1- score 0
5?1-5?10- score 1
Over 5?10- score 2
5. How do you spend most of your day?
Sitting down? score 0
Occasionally sitting? score 2
Walking most of the time? score 4
Doing physically hard work most of the time? score 6
Now add them all together and that?s your daily total.
Thanks again ladies.
JLK - that first link doesn't work
.
I'm saving the other one though.
I've been making my own version of the red lobster biscuits for a while but I doubt they're very WW friendly.
