Well ladies. I was not asking for an answer but I got it. As most of you know I was pg and lost my baby last month. My Dr. ran a ton of blood tests (not expecting to find anything but he figured it wouldn't hurt). It turns out I have a rare blood disorder called MTHFR. This is the link my doctor gave me: http://www.pregnancy-info.net/mthfr.html
More or less I was told that my two daughters I have are miracles and especially since they are healthy. There is a way for me to get pg but I will be extremely high risk and I need to really decide if it is worth the risk not only to the baby but to me to get pg. The meds they would put me on put me at high risk for stroke and heart attack.
So I got my answer. I am sad to say I do not think it is worth the risk of my life ![]()
Re: Got my answer
Wow. I'm sure it is great to finally have a "why," but the diagnosis blows! Did your doctor tell you what % of women have this?
*Hugs* to you. And what a blessing that you have two beautiful daughters!

Wow... it's stories like you and your daughters that really speaks to the unrealized miracles in life. I'm terribly sorry that you have this disorder, but what a blessing you have in your girls!
MY BLOG!
My sister has a risk of this too. Her birth mother has it (she's adopted) and her doctor said she should be tested before she tries to have kids. I knew there were things you could take for it but I didn't know they have the high risk. Good to know.
Her mother, who has MTHFR, has had 7 healthy kids. She did have almost the same amount of pregnancy losses in between though.
