Curly hair gals...

Do you have a rec for a stylist. I only ever wear my hair curly, so i need someone that is really good with curls.

If you wear your hair curly and have a great person please let me know!

thanks!

Re: Curly hair gals...

  • i cannot recommend this woman enough.  i LOVED how she cut my hair.  my only issue is that she's expensive.  it was $80 for a cut.  but it was so worth it.  anyway, here's her website (that's her on the "front page"):

if you'd like other opinions, you might try:

i'm thinking about trying nancy christian at hair world in cedar park because it's closer and may be (i haven't called to ask yet) cheaper.

  • thank you soo much for replying. I thought you were the other curly haired gal, but I wasn't sure.

I've tried 3 places in the past from naturally curly.com and either the person was there or they totally killed my hair. :( I'm a  little worried about trying a rec from there again. I'll totally have to look at your links :)

  • Lisa Castiglione is awesome.  I don't have curly hair, but according to her site she was or is experienced with curlies.
  • I've used "J" from Avant north. She's done a really good job. My hair has a natural curl/wave to it and I've been happy with her. She charges 55 I believe.
  • I've used melody from zig zag twice and both times i got a great cut for a reasonable price. i think $45. i think i saw CJ post that she's on maternity leave though, not exactly sure.

  • I use Ethan at James Allan Salon and I love what he does with my hair!  Plus he is a very laid-back person, which is nice at the end of a stressful work day.  :)

  • I have chameleon hair. I can wear it stick straight (with a little help) or loose curly (naturally).  I've been seeing Dawn Hill at Joie de Vie and have been really pleased with her work.

I like Lola from zig zag.

Melody was there the last time I went for a cut.

  • Suzanne at Black Orchid.  She charges $40 I think.  Very thorough and understands layers in curly hair.  Black Orchid is on South Congress.
