It snowed all day yesterday...

I pretty much was a hermit & spent the day on the computer reading about the health care bill (& of course debating with you lovely ladies about it) so I didn't really look outside much. Embarrassed

When DH got home I did though & the ground was white. He said it'd been snowing since noon.

Y'all I'm moving east. DH can come if he wants, but I need some freakin' warmth.

It'd be semi-ok if people were still skiing & DH was still making money, but the tourists are over it too. It's time for spring damnit!

Re: It snowed all day yesterday...

  • Seriously?  That's pretty crazy.  All we got was some wind, rain and overall a day of gloom.  Today is beautiful though.  We'd love to have you a little further east!

Just out of curiosity does your Dh's place of work do a big blow out on St. Patty's day?  The ski area my Dh used to work at makes a giant slush pit at the bottom of one of the trails and they all jump in after their last run of the season.

OK, first of all, you officially suck. Stick out tongue

Second, they do March Madness all month. I think lift rates are 1/2 price. I know there is a big discount. DH's shop doesn't usually do anything though.

The conditions are so bad at this point no one wants to ski anymore. I think Appalachian Ski Mtn usually does a big event at the end of their season. They're stubborn and always close last so a lot of times there are giant grass spots on the slopes so people mainly just go out to get wet in what remains of the slush.

Aw, c'mon!!  If it makes you feel any better, I was tied down to my desk pretty much all day--didn't even get to experience first hand the warmth from the sun.  Just enjoyed it through the office windows.  Stick out tongue

lol....my Dh's place (where my FIL still teaches) is up in the Berkshires of MA.  They close his little neighborhood mountain there just because there aren't any (or enough) tourists coming up to make it worthwhile to turn the lifts on--they still have plenty of snow!  It's like one big family there--I can only imagine the debacle that is St. Patty's day--lots of drunk skiing from what I understand.
