I refuse to pay $79.95 for:
30 Texas State Invitations or Announcements
30 Inside & 30 Outside Envelopes
30 Texas State Return Address Labels
30 Texas State Foil Seals
10 Texas State Thank You Cards with Envelopes
1 Texas State Keepsake Cover
Even if I only order invites...they are $1.85 each with a minimum order of 30. Would it be tacky to order other cutesy invites for my graduation? If not, what suggestions do you have?
Re: Call me cheap but...
My sister made her own invitations for graduation, and I didn't even send any out for mine.
I may not be the person to ask ... I bought my wedding invitations at Hobby Lobby on clearance and printed them myself
I don't mind splurging on certain things, but a piece of paper is not one of them. When I get an invitation in the mail, I read it, note it on my calendar, and toss it in the recycling. Which brings up another good point - all those extra envelopes and paper is bad for the enviroment.
I wouldn't be sending invites except that this is a big deal for my parents- my dad is always sure to ask how school is going every time I talk to him- for the past 12 years...haha
Printing or invite suggestions?
I would buy some cheap invites from CVS or something with a picture of a graduation cap. I'm sure they sell something like that.
DH (yes DH) made his own! He printed them off at home using a simple font on cute cardstock -- I want to say it had snowflakes (he sent them out around January or February for his May graduation).
I, on the other hand, did spend the $80 to get the FSU invites -- I really wanted them, they were cute!

I don't remember what I did, tells you how important it was for me - ha!
I'd see what you can find online for cheaper - I've used tinyprints.com for holiday cards and love their designs. I'm sure you can find a coupon code if you google, too.
This.
