Re: Reminder: Book Club is tomorrow!
Anywho - he's been gone for a couple of weeks, I'd feel crappy if I skipped his first night in town for book club. Y'all have fun!
Quick question: Is the book for tomorrow's meeting the King Tut book or is that the book for the next one? If it's the book for tomorrow's meeting, then has the book for the next meeting been chosen yet or is that what you're voting on?
I'm going to try to get back into this.
Also, if you'll take a nom from someone who hasn't attended in a year
, I'd like to suggest The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart. It's a young adult book, but it's a really good YA book and it could be fun to discuss.
King Tut is for tomorrow. The next book is The Help. Tomorrow we will be voting on the book for the meeting in 12 weeks. HTH!
PS I would love a YA book.

My (non-nestie) book club read that for one of our selections, and if I recall correctly, everyone enjoyed both the book and discussion!

I emailed mine already but I'll post here too just in case:
I am Ozzy by Ozzy Osbourne http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6952423-i-am-ozzy
I'm about 1/3 through it and it's a very cool read. He talks about running into Robert Plant right before he joined the Yardbirds and WAY before Led Zeppelin, how he met Tony Iommi and the other members of Sabbath, lots of bits and pieces about bands in London in the late 60s/early 70s before they were huge. Incredibly interesting and funny too.
I'll definitely add both of these to the noms list. As gofurr mentioned, Tut is tomorrow and The Help is the next one. We will be voting tomorrow for the next-next book (north).
Chicklit- you should join us sometime!
