I have to AW D a minute. You know we are not normally the gushy mushy over the top gag me sweet couple. We are bffs to a fault. The only time I have ever seen him almost break down was when I almost died at the LSU vs. V-tech game 3 years ago and our wedding.
Yesterday, it finally hit him that I am having surgery. In two days he has turned to mush. Yesterday he spent the entire day preparing the house for WWIII lol. He fixed the door so that noone could break in while I am home alone, plugged a gap in the floorboard where yucky roaches crawl in, made a list of to-dos that he wanted to get accomplished today. Dug through boxes to find my books for my down time and did all the laundry. Called the cable company to order another DVR box for our bedroom and he slept on the couch so that I would get a good nights rest and then sent me this text a minute ago.
"Hey babe. I went to target and got you ginger ale, soup, a reading pillow, bandages, spray for your throat, neosporin, and tide. I am on my way now to get the cable box"
All of this without asking me. I should schedule surgery every week.
Re: AW: Awww shucks....
Aw, what a sweetie! I was pretty blase about my surgery, but J was deeply upset about it. He still gets upset when he sees my scars. Apparently it bothers husbands when their wives get cut open.
I'm so happy he's stepping up and taking care of you. I'm sure that will make the experience MUCH less stressful. Glad you have a great support system!
THIS! Very sweet!!!
Ditto!!
Glad to hear DH is being so thoughtful...even if it did take surgery!
Two thumbs up for D, way to go!
That is so awesome! Good job, D.
FWIW it also bothers them when you cuss them out coming out of your anesthesia.
I hope your surgery and recovery are smooth sailing and good on D for stepping up!
Way to go D! My DH is a bit of a hypochodriac and tends to get exactly the same illness or worse as anyone within a 5 mile radius just hours after hearing about it. I could see him having surgery "sympathy pains" and I would be the one running to Target to get him ginger ale and soup.
Hope all goes well with your surgury and your recovery is quick.
Ditto. Yay D!
