Thanks so much for thinking of me today. I feel really good and I am very hopeful that all is well. My sis can maybe access results tomorrow otherwise, my doctor's appt is next Tuesday.
Something VERY weird happened though... I was sitting in my quiet room waiting to go back to the PETScan and I could over hear a conversation going on with a new patient. This is not where they have consulations but I guess they were really booked up so she was meeting her doctor in the Nuclear Medicine dept. She has thyroid cancer and was just scared to death poor girl. So as I was going in I asked the nurse to give her my card and tell her if she needed anyone to talk to to contact me. She ended up waiting for me to come out. It was very nice meeting her and I think I may have actually helped her a little. I was in a particularly positive mood. LOL We were in Philly but she lives in NJ too only a few miles from me and her hubby works right around the corner from me.
Oh yeah, so why was this weird?... Other than the fact that she wasn't really where she was supposed to be and she lives so close I mean.
Well, I was supposed to have a meeting with the Volunteer Coordinators at Penn to talk about opportunities. I was really bummed to find out that their peer-to-peer program wasn't up and running yet but that i could meet to go over other opportunities. Well, i was supposed to meet them today at 3:00 but cancelled because I wasn't sure I would be out in time since they were running behind schedule at the PET center. Well, sureenough I was out at 3:00 and that's when I met her. Isn't that weird?!! I don't believe in accidents.

and that is really cool about that girl, I'm with you sounds like someone planned that accident. I like it when I can use my experience (with my brother specifically) to help someone. I feel like if I can just help one person than it was worth it.
That is so good that you were able to talk to the girl. I am glad that you might be able to help her.
