Wellsboro...is it one of those nice
places to visit, wouldn't want to live there? It seems lovely, but remote. Note, we have lived in Northern Michigan and a long winter is not something I long to return to...
DH has been offered a management job there and since neither of us have ever visited anywhere close by, looking for any information.
TIA.
Re: Wellsboro...is it one of those nice
My parents have a cabin about 20 minutes outside of Wellsboro. Wellsboro is a really cute, quaint and pretty town. I love going up there every year for the Victorian Christmas festival they host. About 40 minutes down route 6 is a small town called Galeton, they put on a really great fireworks display for the fourth. That said, I wouldn?t want to live there, it is kind of remote. But if that is what you are used to you may like it. Maybe you could live south of Wellsboro and be a little closer to Williamsport, which has some more going on and there is the Lycoming mall.
I often thought to myself what it would be like to live up there. They have really cute homes up there. I guess it just depends on what you are comfortable with. Could you go visit there and see what you think before you commit? I always love to get away there. It might be a nice change of pace for you.
Rosepks- Where exactly is your parents cabin? DH's family's cabin is right along route 6 (20 minutes west of Wellsboro) going towards Galeton.
