Hey Ladies,
I'm thinking of surprising DH in June with a trip to Baltimore to see the Sox at Camden Yards. Have any of you gone before? I'm still trying to figure out the logistics as far as which airport to fly into and renting a car or not. The price seems to be the same. BWI is more then IAD but I would have to rent a car from IAD. The plus with IAD is that we can run to a museum or two. Any suggestions?
Re: Baltimore/Camden Yards
That sounds great. I've been to a few games at Camden Yards and have enjoyed them. There is about 50/50 Orioles to Sox fan ratio at most of the games. Very fun and one of the few parks that still has a sense of history.
I highly recommend hanging out in the Inner Harbor while you're there. Lots of fun. It is walking distance from the ballpark. There is the aquarium, a mall, lots of restaurants, and other sightseeing stuff there too.
What airline are you looking at that IAD is less than BWI? My parents live down in that area and we usually fly into BWI because it is always the cheapest.
I love love love Camden Yards! I grew up in Baltimore and have many fond memories there. Definitely fly into BWI and if you aren't staying in a hotel close to the field I would rent a car. There isn't any reliable public transportation in Bmore.
The aquarium is awesome to go to... not a museum but still fun

I lived in Maryland for 5 years and loved going to Camden Yards / Baltimore's Inner Harbor area. You definitely want to fly into BWI, and rent a car if you can... otherwise a cab ride might start getting expensive.
