I'm going to Cincy on Friday to see my doctor. I have a few hours to kill around lunch time so I'm thinking of asking my mom and or sister to meet me somewhere. Should we:
Go to Fairfield and have real, authentic Mexican food (probably Taqueria Mercado) then go to the Jungle?
Go to Findley Market (shop and eat!) and take my ring to the jeweler for a re-appraisal? (BTW, what is the best day to go to Findley? My parents both work on Saturday-is Sunday good or is the market dead?)
Or go someplace on the east side (Hyde Park/Kenwood)?
DH will not do any of these choices but my mom & sister are always for some good food!
Re: Foodies, help me please!
If you are going to Findley on a Friday you will get fresh items, but not much is going on. The Farmers market is just starting to pick up, however it is mostly flowers and plants at this time. Market wines is great but he only does tastings on Saturday and Sunday. Depending on what side of town you are going to, there are always great places to eat and things to do. Most of them happen to be shopping, but I am sure you can find some other activities as well.
Believe it or not, in all the years I've lived in Cincy, I've never made it down to Findley Market....so ashamed! It is definitely on my to-do list so for me, I'd do that just b/c I've always wanted to
. Jungle Jim's is also a great trip...it seems that place gets bigger and bigger everytime I go!

I agree that you won't see the farmers, but you might also be able to actually look around a little better. I recently took my dad on a friday and he said he would go back more if could make it during the week. He finally got a chance to look at all the cases and talk to some of the vendors. It is much more relax. Saturdays can be overwhelming if you don't know what is going on.
