Does your family have any Easter traditions?
We normally boil crawfish, but they're still pretty expensive this year so my mom said we'll probably just bbq or fry fish. And we do the Easter Olympics, which includes an egg toss, tap the egg (to break your opponent's egg but not your own), egg hunt for the kids, and other things like that.
DH and I are going to go buy some stuff for E's basket here in the next couple of days.
Re: Easter traditions?
When I was a kid we used to have a big to do. Now that I'm older we really don't, partly because one uncle and one cousin are both preachers. It's hard for them to travel anywhere on easter Sunday. John and I usually host a brunch at our house which was fab a few years in NYC when we had an egg hunt outside. Everyone really got into to it too.
This year we'll be in Boston.
Our tradition is to stay home and spend this holiday together.
MrShoe is super busy at work around Easter time so since that's his day off, we like to lay low and just spend the day at home. Last year his sister and her family came over which was fun but I think this year we might just try and keep it the 3 of us.
And I cannot wait to make my baby girl her first Easter basket! I'm so excited about it!
