Hey! You volunteer with an animal rescue group, right? What do you do with them/for them?

Yep! Although I have slacked off the last couple months ;( When I was going full force/had the time, I was walking the dogs we had in boarding on Saturdays (takign them out to a trail and giving them a good long walk), attending adoption events/transporting dogs to the events and writing a newsletter.
I really really love it. There really is no better feeling, to me, then knowing that this dog/cat that you are placing in a loving home would be dead if it wasnt for your group. Our group only pulls dogs/cats from death row in shelters all over CA. We dont take owner surrenders or anything, so every dog or cat we save really really is saving a life.
That's awesome! I've totally become crazy animal lady, so I am thinking about volunteering with the organization we adopted our cats through. They also take cats from high kill shelters and strays (our kittens were found outside at about 3 weeks old, covered in fleas and mud and emaciated!).
I just wondered what sort of things you do with them, though I'm sure every group is a bit different. Thanks for the info!
That is awesome, YAY!!! When I first started I mostly just attended the adoption events and got my feet wet. Once I really got to knwo everyone I started delving in a bit deeper.
The adoption events are always super fun, at least to me. It is fun to meet all different people and of course it is great when you get to send an animal to its forever home
